CHECKING HYDRAULIC FLUID LEVEL
CAUTION
Keep dirt, water and other contaminants from entering the hydraulic sys-
tem. Before opening the hydraulic fl uid reservoir fi ller cap, drain plug and
hydraulic lines, wipe off contaminants that can get in the openings. Also,
protect the openings from accidental contamination.
3. Unbolt the pump cover as
shown in FIG. 39-1. Observe
the fl uid level at the decal on
pump reservoir. Fluid level
should be in the MIN-MAX
range shown on decal (FIG.
39-2)
1. Check the hydraulic fl uid
level in reservoir as follows.

4. Pull out fi ller cap (FIG. 39-2). Fill the
reservoir with hydraulic fl uid (TABLE
39-1) to level shown in FIG. 39-2. Re-
install fi ller cap (FIG. 39-2).
5. Bolt on the pump cover as shown
in FIG. 39-1. Tighten the 5/16”-18
cover screws until snug.
